Today I am focusing on services and apps that disrupted not only the market but our lifes!
Yeah I am talking about Instagram, Snapchat, Spotify, Pinterest, Uber...
How did we cope with life without them??? I cannot even remember... do you???
(BTW, they are not my favourites, next week I will share my favourites of all time)
1. Spotify - Year 2006
Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs. ... Music for everyone. Millions of songs. No credit card needed. Do you need to add anything else??
3. Pinterest - Year 2010
It is a social network that allows users to visually share, and discover new interests by posting images or videos to their own or others' boards and browsing what other users have pinned. Users can either upload images from their computer or pin things they find on the web using the Pinterest.
4. Uber - Year 2009
It is a car-for-hire service that uses smartphone tech to dispatch drivers and manage fees. You can hire a private driver to pick you up & take you to your destination with the tap of a button on any smartphone device.
6. Slack - Year 2013
It is a chat room where you can send emails, text messaging, and instant messaging so you can keep all those communication styles together in one app. The ideas is replacing emails as your main channel of communication.
7. Stripe - Year 2011
It is an online payment processing that provides the technical, fraud prevention, and banking infrastructure required to operate online payment systems.
8. Kickstarter - Year 2009
It is a funding platform for creative projects and helps artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, and other creators find the resources and support they need to make their ideas a reality.
It is a multimedia messaging app and the big disruption here is the photo or message deletes itself after you open it, unless someone screenshots their screen but the recipient gets alerted if it happens.
It's hard to imagine a world without the internet and today!
56.1% of the world's population has internet access and 81% of the developed world have access to internet. Internet has transformed every aspect of our life and we have been impacted in a way we communicate, shopping, navigate and entertain
